Overview
Knowledge Tree offers three pricing tiers designed to scale with your infrastructure. All tiers include graph-based discovery, the knowledge graph engine, and the documentation generator. Higher tiers add enterprise features like SSO, audit logging, SLA guarantees, and dedicated support.

Billing details
Billing is handled through Stripe with the following options:
- Monthly billing -- pay as you go, cancel anytime
- Annual billing -- two months free per year, committed contract
- Enterprise invoicing -- net-30 terms, PO-friendly, multi-year discounts
- Usage metering -- transparent usage tracking in the admin dashboard
- Free trial -- 14-day free trial with all Pro features
FAQ
Can I self-host for free?
Yes. The Knowledge Tree core is open source under BUSL 1.1. You can self-host the platform at no cost, with the Starter tier feature set. Pro and Enterprise features require a paid license.
How is resource usage calculated?
A resource is any unique infrastructure component discovered by a plugin. Resources are counted per day, and billing is based on the peak daily count in the billing period. Deleted resources are not counted after their deletion date.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Data retention limits apply on downgrade (e.g., audit logs beyond 30 days are archived).
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), ACH transfers (US), and wire transfers (international). Enterprise customers can request invoice-based billing with net-30 terms.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new tenant gets a 14-day free trial with all Pro features enabled. No credit card is required to start the trial.
